Pinegar Honda Community Involvement
Pinegar Honda has been part of the Springfield-area community for over 50 years, and like any good neighbor, we give back to the community that has supported us. Springfield has a reputation for giving and for being a caretaker of the arts, and we like to participate in both.
As an employer, we see every day on a first-hand basis how our employees give back to our customers. They also give back to the community, and we have enabled a special way for them to do that. Five of our employees make up the panel that directs the Employee Directed Charitable Fund. This fund is underwritten by the company, but the panel, with input from all employees, decides where to distribute the proceeds from the fund. Many of the charities they chose are below the radar and have a hard time competing for dollars against larger charities. We’re very proud of the panel and the work they perform in helping those in need.
As a corporation, we are proud to be able to participate in community giving for charities and the arts. Some of the recipients we donate to have a relationship with us that goes back for decades, including United Way, The Salvation Army, and the Springfield Symphony Orchestra. Some of them are more recent, including Big Brothers and Big Sisters and The MASTERS.
Thank you for your support. With it, we can help support our community.
